Riding Time features seven cyclists riding along around the clock. The riders are casual urban cyclists, some with bags or other accessories, one with a short sleeved shirt and another with a coat. Their wheels are intertwined, overlapping in a lovely way, simulating a city ride. The inner part of the clock features Roman style numbers indicating the significant hours, 12, 3, 6 and 9. The cycling theme is one of Gerstein's signature themes, explored in many other works, large and small, from huge sculptures to small objects.
