All our raffia products are handmade in the amazing natural material, raffia. Raffia fibers come from palm fronds – and all RICE raffia products come from Madagascar... the place where the history of RICE began. The products are made with clear conscience and with the heart being in the right place – the production takes place in the mountains of Madagascar and supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. It takes 4 people up to 38 hours to make only one set of these raffia storage baskets.
