'On the morning of the seventh of October, I opened my eyes, and since then the days have become like one long continuous day. Since that morning, I have been in a constant race to document the events of the war, in order to convey this story, which is bigger than all of us. In such a huge and unimaginable event, it seems that without authentic documentation it would be difficult to believe that this was indeed the case; In 2023, the State of Israel experienced such an event, which unites the most dramatic stories of horror and heroism since the Holocaust. From that terrible morning until today, when the war is still going strong, I photograph the events every day, some would say obsessively, out of a deep sense of mission; A combination of journalistic inclination, historical vision and love of the country. No one sent me on this mission. I am documenting what is happening with the understanding that this is a different event than anything I have photographed so far, a difficult, complex and exciting time that we have experienced since the establishment of the state, and it is important to tell the story of this extremism in Israel's history with great accuracy and credibility
The events of October 7 are like a bleak national dream, parts of which will remain like a black hole. So many stories, tragedies and human dramas took place in this difficult event at that time and in that season - and were not filmed'.
